Here at Riverside Veterinary Surgery we have our own inhouse laboratory, where we are able to run various blood test, urine test and examine samples under a microscope.

• Blood test include Biochemistry, Haematology, Electrolyte levels Blood Gases, Blood Coagulation and thyroid levels.

• Using our inhouse microscope we are able to examine urine sample, skin scrapes and blood smears. We are able to look for parasites, urine crystals as well as other abnormalities.

• We have a small inhouse urine analyser that will tell us basic information about your pets urine to help diagnosis conditions like a urine infection and diabetes.

​

Using these inhouse analysers along with sending samples to an external laboratory for more in-depth testing we are able to assist the veterinary surgeons in the diagnosis of your pets.
